Yeah, I did it. =_= Taken from everybodygoddamnit ( 0_lostinabook_0). Go through the list and check off the titles you have watched. For our purposes, "watching" a title means that for TV and OVA series, you have to have seen at least one episode. For one-shots, you have to have seen the whole thing. At the end of each genre/category, add up your sub-total. At the very end, add up the sub-totals to come up with your grand total. If your grand total is 80 or over, congratulations -- you are an obsessive anime watcher! An Editor's Note: not all the titles listed here are great, and some are even steaming piles of crap. Titles on the list are here because they are either 1) genuinely good, 2) insanely popular, 3) good examples of the genre, or 4) just plain notorious. Good anime obsessives should be able to watch series with any of those qualities. ( I'm a sheep. A sheeeeep. )I went to see a concert at Orchestra Hall last night; A Tribute to Leonard Bernstine's music. I never knew a lot about him, but any Broadway music is welcome. Turns out that it wasn't just going to be melodies, there were three Broadway actors there to sing the parts. This was Rachel York, Doug LeBrecque. and Christane Noll OMG the original Emma from Jekyll and Hyde. Σ(゜д゜;) And I was in row frickin' ten people. That woman has skillz, even when extremely preggers. I was floored. Now, I think i might be a little obsessed with this musical thanks to this girl's videos. Also, any "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" fans in the house? :) Tags: amv, anime, but everybody's doing it!, meme timez, musical loooove~, princess tutu, starstruck Current Location: Home Current Mood: mellow Current Music: The Scarlet Pimpernel OST-Madame Guillotine

Love 6. LiveJournal No matter how rude, sexual, or confidential. (Uhuh yeah, keep it in my comfort zone. -_-;) Then post this in your journal and see what questions you get asked. Saw the American Ballet's production of Swan Lake on DVD today. Loved it. Is it me or in this version was Siegfried like, "Whaaa aaaa was does nobody like meeeeee? щ(゚Д゚щ) *sobs*". ....pansy. :P XD Tags: amv, ballet, epic win!, lolz, meme timez, musical loooove~, o la la!, pimping, princess tutu, swan lake, tagged Current Location: Home~ Current Mood: bubbly Current Music: The Scarlet Pimpernel OST-The Scarlet Pimpernel

Title/Theme: Beginning: Three Instances Series: Princess Tutu Rating: PGish? (There's mention of raven based violence) Word count: 3,845 (I'm playing with the big boys now.) Summery: "As far as she’d been concerned, she’d rather have nothing more to do with him." (Tutu!Exchange/birthday gift for lycorne) Told you I'd get it eventually! Bonus: It's got a soundtrack!) Finished: December 29th, 2008. 1:25 am. Disclaimer: This is a fan-made story for nonprofit use. Princess Tutu is the property of Ito Ikuko, animation studio Hal Film Maker, and ADV films. (Author's Note: I tried to do something different with this one. It's all supposed to be in past tense, almost like they're memories being replayed, so if there are any mistakes concerning tense in general let me know. I also struggled with tying not to repeat words or phrases too much. (Writing without mentioning names is torture. Not to mention I was trying to give personalities to people who we know little about and who cannonly have two dimesional personalities. -_-; Misspellings? OOC behavior? Don't hesitate to point them out ^-^) ( Turn back the clock and the past can be frightening. )Tags: classical music is love, done!, fan fic, finally up, princess tutu, tutu exchange Current Location: Home Current Mood: drained Current Music: Barlowgirl-Never Alone

Classical MPR is my budd right now ^-^ I stay up listening to it at 12 am and how do they reward me? By playing The Nutcracker: Act 1. Yeah, I was too psyched to go to sleep. Okay holiday fans! What are your fondest memories of this time of year? Decorating the tree? The annual family get togethers? Opening those gifts that were taunting you from under your tree for the past three weeks? No! It was the movies. Those christmas specials that with out fail graced our televisions and VCRs every year. (Oh, my god VCRs. Who still has one?) You all knew it was commin'! So sit back, relax, and when this is all over we'll see if you still have time to run out and rent these before the holiday is through. (Note: Sorry if there isn't a clip on here from a movie you wanted to see, but youtube only had so many of these specials.) Hit it! From All of Us ( Jingle those bells! Roast those chestnuts! The Christmas Train is a commin' and it don't wait for no one! )Tags: back in the day, blast from your past, bum bum bababum bum bum bum bumm, christmas time is here once more, claymation ftw, finally up, long post is long, nostalgic, pimping, took long enough, why am i so old? Okay, so I was going to the library today to find a recording of The Nutcracker to listen to for the month, and I'd just finished putting my hair up; when I looked in the mirror, I had Fakir's hair style o_o. For serious. W. T. F? ...alright alright, here you go. (freeloaders ¬_¬) By popular request, It's more nostalgia then ya'll can handle. We're Merrily On Our Way (I do remember being scared out of my trousers by this movie. Don't know why, maybe it was the art?) In the last installment , I talked primarily about the work of Don Bluth and James Horner. Well, those guys have gone on to bigger an better things. But you guys wanted more, so I'm bringing you more! Lucky you. ( Step right up, step right up, don't be shy now. There's plenty to see. Click click click~ )Also: Attention flist! Going down memory lane is rather fun, wouldn't you agree? I was hoping to do another one of these for the holiday season! So, what I need are suggestions.
Got a nostalgic christmas/holiday movie you loved back in the day? Did it have particularly memorable songs? Comment with the movie(s) and it may be deemed worthy to be featured in, "Remember when...?: Holiday edition!" Look forward to it! ^-^Tags: amv, back in the day, blast from your past, etc etc etc...., long post is long, movie, nostalgic, princess tutu, random shit, update, why am i so old?
